Visitors from The Chinese University of Hong Kong

Date: Friday 26 Mar 2021

On 25th March 2021, The Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Archives was pleased to welcome Professor Ying Fuk Tsang and his students who are studying the history of Hong Kong Christianity in The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) visiting Bishop’s house. Our Provincial Archivist, Revd Dr. Philip L. Wickeri invited students and scholars who are interested in the history of Hong Kong Christianity to use our historical archives for study and research. Dr. Ruiwen Chen gave a talk on the history of the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui. She introduced the history of Bishop’s house, stories of Bishops and clergy and the historical-relationship between Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui and Chung Chi College. After that, Professor Ying Fuk Tsang presented his new book to our Archives. He and his students also toured Bishop’s house and our historical exhibits.

Professor Ying has brought his students to our archives before and we believe it is good for the communication between Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Archives and the university students. We hope to see Professor Ying and his students again very soon!
