2024 HKSKH Education Expo - Education of HKSKH : Witness of History, Continuity of Mission

Date: Tuesday 17 Dec 2024

The 2024 Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Education Expo on 14th and 15th December at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre has been successfully completed. Thank you to our guests and friends for supporting and attending.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition was held on the morning of the 14th, and we were honored to have The Most Revd Andrew Chan, Archbishop and Primate of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui, for being the Guest of Honour and for hosting the ribbon-cutting ceremony with the opening address.

The Anglican mission has historically been characterized by a concern for the integration of church, education and social service. In terms of education, the HKSKH has a history of running schools for more than 170 years and has continuously found more than 150 schools. It is committed to providing students with a high-quality education, cultivating them to build character for life, and promoting the humanistic values that have been associated with Christianity at its best. The theme of the exhibition was "Education of HKSKH : Witness of History, Continuity of Mission". We have given special attention to Anglican schools that were once vital, but for various reasons, no longer exist. There were a total of 60 historical items as well as photographs, books, documents, souvenirs and flags for showcasing in exhibits, to help us to understand the history of the HKSKH's early history of running Anglican schools and educators in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Archives would like to thank all participants for their unwavering support and participation in making this exhibition a success.
