Dr. Brian Tsui Kai Hin

Brian Tsui was trained at The University of Hong Kong and Columbia University. A historian of modern China, he teaches at the Department of Chinese Culture, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is the author of China’s Conservative Revolution: The Quest for a New Order, 1927–1949 (2018) and has co-edited with Tansen Sen Beyond Pan-Asianism: Connecting China and India, 1840s–1960s (2021). He is interested in Chinese revolutionary politics and how it intersected with seemingly incompatible ideologies and faiths, including Christianity.

He is a member of St. John’s Cathedral and regularly attends its Chinese services.
