A “socially distanced” piano recital - Grace Sun Wai Yi

In the afternoon of 17th June, HKSKH honored to have Miss Grace Sun to offer a  “socially distanced” piano recital at Bishop’s House. She presented four pieces: ‘Scarlatti Sonata in F minor K.466’ , ‘Mozart Variations in F major K.398’, ‘Brahms Scherzo in E-Flat minor Op.4’ and ‘Joaquín Turina: Danzas fantásticas Op.22’. Thanks to her beautiful and powerful music, all the staff and interns refreshed their mind and soul.

 

Grace Sun Wai Yi was born in 1997 and had her first piano lesson at the age of five. She graduated from the Sichuan Conservatory of Music with both Diploma and the Bachelor of Music degree, majoring in piano performance and studying under the tutelage of Associate Professor Lu Qing from 2015 to 2019. She also has graduated from a master of music at Hong Kong Baptist University, under the tutelage of Prof. Raymond Young.

 

She participated in numerous concerts every year and also served as an accompanist in the “Light it up” Autism Awareness Charity Activity in 2016 and was awarded The Third Prize of “Institute Cup” in the 2nd Sichuan Piano Competition.
